  1. GASTROENTEROLOGIC EXAMINATIONS
    To the extended preventive medical examinations may be further added the examination of digestive tract:
    • endoscopic examination of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum (gastroscopy) and
    • endoscopic examination of the colon and part of small intestine (colonoscopy).
    Colonoscopy requires special preparation, therefore it cannot be performed simultaneously with the other examinations.

    Why are these two examinations important?

    Gastrointestinal cancer represents a significant mortality share in the Slovenian population. The presence of this disease is becoming more frequent, what is particularly the case of colon and rectum cancer. Early determination and diagnosis is crucial to the success of the treatment. Polyps, which are often formed in the intestine, do not cause problems initially, however after a few years they can develop carcinogenic changes. The presence of polyps and the risk is significant regardless of the age.

    Most effective and the sole therapeutic method for early detection of colon and rectal cancer is endoscopic examination - colonoscopy. Endoscopic device enables also removing of the polyps during the examination, which are sent to histological examination.

    Colonoscopy has a negative connotation among people mainly due to preparations for the examination. According to our experience it does not cause major problems, as it is not necessary to drink 8 liters of cleaning fluid but only 4 to 5 liters.

    Instructions for preparation to the examination are enclosed in this document. At our clinic a modern colonoscopic and gastroscopic Olympus video device is used for the examination, which enables a reliable and safe diagnostic-therapeutic endoscopy. Endoscopic examination clips are stored in the electronic medium, which is very important for comparison with any future examinations.

    • gastroscopy: 110,00 €
    • colonoscopy: 170,00 €
    • biopsy and histology: 85,00 €
    • polypectomy (removal of polyps): 70,00 €


  2. UROLOGICAL TESTS AND EXAMINATIONS
    For men over 40 years we recommend an examination by urologist, who performs a clinical urologic examination and an examination of the prostate with an urologic probe.

    This examination is particularly necessary if the PSA factor, which is always determined in blood tests, is greater than 2. According to the indications we perform in our clinic also a biopsy of the prostate with histological examination of bioptic material.

  3. GYNECOLOGICAL EXAMINATION
    For women we recommend gynaecologic examination with a gynaecologic probe, smear test, clinical breast examination and mammography.

  4. ORL EXAMINATION
    Clinical ORL examinations, defining the importance of snoring with nocturnal respiratory congestions. We also offer a clinical operation on the soft sky to eliminate snoring and nocturnal respiratory congestions.

  5. DERMATOLOGICAL EXAMINATION
    Clinical examinations by dermatologist. Examination of suspicious skin symptoms, their removal with the modern radiofrequency method and histological analysis of removed material.

    All additionally listed examinations are performed at our outpatient clinic and are charged separately.
