Diagnostic arthroscopy in outpatient clinic is the examination of the joint with mini camera, which is introduced inside the joint through 2mm skin incision under local anesthesia. Under the direct vision on the screen, we can precisely evaluate pathologic changes or injuries of joint cartilage, ligaments, tendons, menisci, presence of loose bodies, etc. This examination has advantage to MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) or CT (computer tomography) because of more realistic view inside the joint.
