Ultrasound examination of intra-abdominal organs enable assessment of the liver, gall bladder, spleen, pancreatic organ, kidneys, adrenal gland, bladder and big abdominal vessels. Colour Doppler is used to assess any disturbance of blood circulation in these organs. The reproductive organs and the structure of the prostate with volume calculation is also checked.
Ultrasound examination of testis and all scrotum structures are performed.
Ultrasound examination is also used to diagnose structural changes of joints, joint envelope, muscular disease and consequences of injury. It is also important for diagnosing any morphologic changes due to disease processes in breasts.
